In a first-of-its-kind gathering, the 1st Quarter Health Care Providers Forum for 2024 on January 26, brought together medical professionals, physicians, CMDs, and service providers at the Staff Development Center next to the Elizabeth Estate Government Secretariat’s second gate in Abeere, Osogbo.
The Executive Secretary of Osun State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Rasak Akindele in a conversation with AMILOADED CORRESPONDENT conveyed his appreciation for OSHIA’s steadfast support from the beginning of his appointment.
‘I am grateful for the assistance of each and every OSHIA director. We want Osun to lead and others to follow’, he added.
While outlining his ambitious intentions, Dr. Akindele disclosed that we aim to fully automate our system, reducing paperwork and enabling online consultations to manage the crowd.
‘For easy payments and management, an OSHIA app for the PlayStore is being developed. The last three months have seen 8,000 enrolments as a result of our outreach initiatives, he added.
Highlighting the commitment made by Governor Ademola Jackson Adeleke, Dr. Akindele further disclosed that, “Pensioners will access care free of charge from February.”
The National Health Insurance Authority’s Dr. Adeyemo Saheed Adekunle commended Osun’s work.
“People’s trust is essential, particularly from the unorganized sector. More will sign up for the scheme if they perceive the advantages,” he said.
The managing director of SW Aqua Care Fertility and Women Care, Dr. Oluseyi Atanda, praised the partnership with OSHIA, pointing to timely replies and a considerate manner.
“The conversation today allayed our worries, demonstrating OSHIA’s leadership. They’ll be the best forever,” Dr. Atanda declared.
