A 17-year-old girl from California has been missing for two months after authorities say she left home to meet a man.
T’Neya Tovar of Hemet, Calif. was reported missing on Dec. 1, 2025, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. “T’Neya may be in the company of an adult male. She has a tattoo on her left hand,” her description on the Center’s website reads.
It is currently believed that Tovar allegedly traveled 70 miles to Thermal, Calif. to meet an unidentified man, KTLA reports, citing detectives. Charro Tovar, her mother, told detectives that her daughter usually shared her location with friends and family members, but that the sharing stopped on the day of her disappearance, per the outlet.
“T’Neya, we all love and miss you so much,” her mother said in a statement obtained by KTLA. “We are thinking about you every day and will not stop searching until you are found safe. I need you to come back home to me.”
The FBI and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office are handling the case, News Channel 3 reports.
