Osun State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon Soji Adagunodo has said the move by Senator Iyiola Omisore to exit the party for another is needless, hasty and unfortunate.
The party chairman then asked Omisore not to fall for the antics of the ruling All Progressives Congress as speculation is making rounds of his defection from PDP.
Adagunodo told Omisore not to forget that the PDP saved him from political annihilation from Alliance for Democracy and that PDP made him a senator.
Describing Omisore’s defection move as hasty, needless and unfortunate, Adagunodo said he was surprised at the conducts of PDP members in Omisore’s camp despite efforts to reconcile the two factions.
Hon Adagunodo made these remarks in response to the alleged burning of the PDP flag by a few party members in the presence of Otunba Omisore today in Osogbo.
Adagunodo reminded Otunba Omisore of the fact that it was the PDP that God used to save him from political annihilation in the Alliance for Democracy and subsequently made him a ranking senator of the Federal Republic who rose to become the chairman of the Appropriation committee of the higher legislative chamber.
He advised the former Deputy Governor not to fall for the antics of the ruling APC which is desperately seeking to hold on to every flimsy straw in its quest to divide the party and manipulate the electorate.
Hon. Adagunodo however urged the teeming members and supporters of the PDP in Osun state to remain calm and focussed on the ultimate target of winning the next governorship election and restoring the state back to its prosperous path beginning from November this year.
