The Yoruba Movie Industry has lost two of its finest actors within one day.
The two veteran actors, Professor Ayo Akinwale and Adedolapo Adewale popularly known for his role as Sule Ebira died on Sunday after brief illnesses.
AMILOADED gathered that Prof. Akinwale died at noon on Sunday.
The multi-talented actor who was the former Dean, Faculty of Arts at the University of Ilorin is said to have been under the weather for some time before he gave up the ghost on Sunday
While reacting to his death, Prof. Abdulrasheed Adeoye, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Unilorin, said: “If life is not vanity upon vanity, then, what is it? Death is indeed wicked!
“With heavy heart and total submission to the will of the Almighty God, I announce the passing on to higher glory of Prof. Ayo Akinwale, of the Department of the Performing Arts, University of Ilorin. He died today, the 13th September, 2020 at the Unilorin Teaching Hospital.
“May the Almighty God comfort the family and all of us.”
Meanwhile, Adedolapo Adewale was said to have died on Sunday after a brief illness.
The former Chairman of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) Osun State Chapter, Comrade Olugbade Gbadesogun popularly known as Oluomo presenter while reacting to the death of Adedolapo Adewale said: “We lost him… Booda Dolapo ti lo!.
“My senior colleague, such a wonderful brother when we work together with Remodel Optimum Communication, Akure. Before he got job appointment with OAU Theatre & Dramatic Art Department.
“He played the role of “SULE EGBIRA” in the evergreen movie; OWO EJE while his best friend Fatomilola Oladosu played the role “JOSEPH EGBIRA”
