Workers Are Invisible Backbone Of Nation – Omooba Dotun Babayemi

A Gbongan prince and politician,Omooba Dotun Babayemi has observed that it is of immense importance that all workers are treated well and served all their rights by their employers without any discrimination.

Babayemi while congratulating workers on this year’s occasion of May Day admonished employers of labour to reward workers on outstanding efforts of improving the company or organisation.

According to Omooba Babayemi, honouring model workers and exemplary individuals from around the country today is aimed at promoting the value of work and celebrate the great character of the country’s working class.

He posited that, the prosperity of the individuals and the nation is tied closely to the workers’ hard work and labour. No nation can function properly if the workers refuse to go to work for even a single day,so this special day is to show heartfelt appreciation and respect to the workers of every field.

Extending his workers day greetings to workers in Osun West Senatorial District in particular, Osun State in general and Nigeria as a whole, Omooba Babayemi observed that history has entrusted all and sundry with a great and arduous mission where the effort to build a moderately prosperous, strong, democratic and culturally advanced society, ultimately depends on hard work.

Workers labour he said, is like rain that fertilizes the land for our productive development. Labour Day marks not just the triumph of worker’s spirit but it is also a renewal of creativity and productivity adding that on the road ahead, we must remain committed to upholding the spirit of model workers and promoting the value of work, so as to gather an enormous positive force for the development of Nigerian economy and society.

He also used the occasion to extend gratitude to all the front line workers who are working day and night to make sure everyone is safe during the Corona virus pandemic.
