An osogbo Magistrate’s court has remanded a 23-year-old woman, Simiat Jimoh over alleged murder of her friend, Esther Oga whose dead body was found at Oke-Osun area in Osogbo.
The accused said the deceased accused her of prostitution before the fight started.
The child of the deceased, Elizabeth Jonathan confirmed that the accused person went out with the deceased on the 9th of February,2018 which was the last time Elisabeth saw her late mother.
The prosecutor, Inspector Mustapha Tajudeen said the accused woman fought Mama Friday to death on the 10th of February, 2018, around 07:30am at Fountain University area, Osogbo.
Inspector Mustapha said the defendant had committed an offence contrary to section 316 and punishable under section 319(1) of Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume ii Laws of Osun state of Nigeria, 2002
Meanwhile, the plea of the defendant was not taken
The counsel, S.P Ogundari was the legal representative for the accused person.
The Magistrate, Tunde Badmus said the court lacks jurisdiction to entertain the case, and ordered that the accused person be remanded in Ilesha prison.
The case was then adjourned till the 8th of May for mention.
