The former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Peter Fayose, has obtained the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential nomination form.
Fayose obtained the ₦40 million nomination form at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. He was accompanied to the secretariat by his close associates.
The former governor had earlier announced his intention to run for president of Nigeria in the 2023 general election on the PDP platform.
Fayose has also withdrew his nomination form the PDP Zoning Committee due to his presidential ambition.
A few hours after obtaining the presidential nomination form, Fayose was spotted eating Amala at a popular restaurant in Abuja. According to reports, the Amala joint is located in the Wuse area of Abuja.
No security agent was seen around him while he was eating at the restaurant.
When he was the governor of Ekiti State, he always interacted with commoners on the streets. He rode on a motorcycle (Okada) and ate at a local restaurant.
