Tragedy! Two Osun Residents Fall Inside Well, Die

Two men were said to have fallen and died inside a well in Africa Area of Osogbo, Osun state capital during the weekend.

Amiloaded gathered that the incident occurred at a car wash where the deceaseds aged 25 and 26 were trying to erect a pumping machine inside the well.

According to eyewitnesses’ account, the deceaseds were said to be plumbing apprentices and had followed their master to the site of the work where they met their untimely death.

Eyewitnesses explained that one of the two victims, was in the process of fixing a pumping machine into a well at a new ‘car wash’ when he lost his balance and fell into the deep well.

On of the sources said, “his friend, who was a fellow apprehentice, saw him falling into the well and quickly rushed down to save him. He immediately entered into the well and he too, could not come out alive.

“The two of them died in the well. All efforts to get them out proved futile. One Hausa man was called to rescue them but he could not cope with the heat.

“He (Hausa man) immediately rushed out. Before help could reach the victims, they have given up the ghost.”

The two of them were said to have hailed from Ede, Osun state.
