The Osun state Commissioner for Finance, Hon Bola Oyebamiji on Saturday expressed condolence to families of victims of Thursday’s petrol tanker fire in Lagos.
It would be recalled that several persons reportedly lost their lives and property in the incident which occurred on Otedola Bridge at Ojodu Berger area of Lagos.
Oyebamiji who is a governorship aspirant contesting under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his condolence message which was made available to journalists in Osogbo described the fire incident as unfortunate, praying for the family of the victims the fortitude to be bear the lost of their loved ones
Oyebamiji also described the incident as traumatic for the families of the victims.
He therefore commended the various government agencies and other good-spirited Nigerians for their immediate responses at putting out the fire.
“Their bravery and sacrifice will live on in the hearts of the Nigerians.”
The Osun Governorship hopeful called on government at all levels to diligently address causes of these tragedies and take appropriate measures to mitigate against their recurrence.
He said: “I wish comfort and well-being to the families who lost their loved ones in the Lagos tanker fire, among others, across the country.
“Nigerians will always remember the stressful nights and days that ended so tragically.”
