Edem Edem, a veteran journalist and a member of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Cross River state chapter is dead.
Edem Edem, a staff of DAILY POST passed away after an illness.
The Daily Post correspondent in Cross River State died Wednesday night, the wife announced.
Born October 1, 1960, Edem hailed from Eto-Mkpe (Inameti Yellow Duke House) in Akpabuyo Local Government Area.
Edem obtained a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from the Nigeria Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Lagos, and a National Diploma in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic, Calabar (now Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH).
He graduated from the International Institute of Journalism (Affiliate of University of Maiduguri) with a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising.
The deceased will be remembered for his hardwork and dedication to duty.
Edem is survived by a wife, children and siblings. The family will announce burial arrangements in due course.
Victor Udu, Chairman, NUJ, Cross River chapter, expressed sadness over the demise.
Udu said a statement will be issued after NUJ’s condolence visit to Edem’s family.
