Senator Iyiola Omisore Didn’t Dump PDP – Bade Falade (Must Read)

The Director General of the Faforiji’s wing of the Peoples Democratic Party, Honourable Bade Falade has debunk the rumour that a stronghold of the party, Senator Iyiola Omisore has dumped the party.

Falade made the statement in Osogbo through a statement made available to Amiloaded on Thursday, he claimed that the former Deputy Governor of Osun State has not leave the party.

The statement reads, “By implication, Senator Iyiola Omisore has not exited the PDP. As we speaks, we have litigations pending in court. The court will determine because the judiciary is seen as the last hope of the common man. Until the case is determined we cannot say we are leaving the PDP. We are still in PDP until the litigation is determined

This  meeting is supposed to be one of our stakeholders routine meetings. We called this meeting purposely to brief our people, concerning the happenings in the PDP of recent. As you are all aware, there was congress recently organised by the national leadership of our party. Before now, we have been divided into two major camps, namely the Adagunodo and Faforiji’s camp.

When the instruction for the re-convening of the congress was passed, the directive was only given to one side. That was Adagunodo group. Before we realised, what was going on, they have concluded the congresses.  The outstanding ward congress, according to them was conducted without us. The local government congress they did without us.

“The state congress, which climaxed was also organised by that group and was supported by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP. Before then, there had been a court action, trying to establish that the ward congress had already been concluded in Osun State by the former national leadership of the PDP, headed by Senator Ahmed Makarfi.

And it even formed an instrument of the national convention that we held in Abuja. On the basis of that, we thought there was no need for another ward congress again. That in the wisdom of the national chairman of our party or the National Working Committee, they felt they have to revisit the matter and conduct their own, which they did.

We didn’t participate. Our intention is to come here today to brief our people because they have been restless since these congresses were held. We thought we could bring them together and let them know the state of affairs. here,  but before we knew what was happening, you could see the way and manner the PDP party flags were being lowered and the signboard was being destroyed.

That was not our making, it was at the instance of the people. I want to say that I am the ex-officio member of the party at national level and in Osun State, we are still in the PDP. Our people are aggrieved and they have reasons to be aggrieved, but we are trying to pacify them.”

Honourable Falade urged all members of the public not to be distracted by the lies been circulated in some quarters and believe in the party.

Some chieftains of the party that attended the stakeholders’ meeting include former Minister for Police Affairs, Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan, former factional chairman of the PDP in the state, Dr Bayo Faforiji, Barrister Adetise, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, Colonel Kunle Falabi (rtd), among others
