See How Two Nigeria Army General Escaped Boko-Haram Land Mines In Borno

The Nigerian Army yesterday, said two of its Generals encountered four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on Saturday in Borno State, suspected to have been buried by Boko Haram elements.
A statement by the Director, Army Public Relations (DAPR), Brigadier General Sani Usman, said the Chief of Administration, Major General IM Alkali, as well as the Acting General Officer (GOC) 7 Division, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu, were on an operational visit to troops in Gwoza, when the incident occurred.
Specifically, Usman said the clustered IEDs were buried at a crossing point along Banki Junction and Pulka road, about 6 kilometres to Firgi. He, however, added that the Explosive Ordinance Device team safely detonated the explosives.
The DAPR said: “The Chief of Administration (Army), Major General IM Alkali and the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division Nigerian Army, Brigadier General VO Ezugwu’s convoy encountered and cleared 4 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) buried by suspected elements of Boko Haram terrorists along their way from Bama to Gwoza at about 10.00am on Saturday 22nd April 2017. “They encountered the four clustered IEDs buried at a crossing point along Banki Junction and Pulka road, about 6 kilometres to Firgi in Borno State.
