A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Ismail Abiodun Saka Layonu has commiserated with the government of Kwara state and the people over the robbery attacks on banks and killings of people by robbers in Offa town.
In his condolence message made available to Amiloaded on Saturday, Layonu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria said the banks’ robbery was satanic and inhumane.
He also condoled with the Nigeria Police Force on the loss of its officers sating the tragic development called for tightened security measures around banks and within the Nigerian society at large.
While praying to God to grant the deceased peaceful rest, Layonu asked God to grant those who they left behind to bear the agonising loss.
Layonu admonished banks to provide more security measures around their institutions and that the Nigerian government should be more proactive in the security matter in the country.
He condemned the robbery attacks and killings and asked the Police to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“My heartfelt condolences go out to Krawa State government and it’s people on the banks’ robbery and wanton killings of residents of the state.
” I also sympathise with the Nigerian Police for losing their rank and file. I pray God to grant the dead pardon and repose of their souls. May the bereaved be granted fortitude from above to bear the tragic love.
“This sad incident called for stronger and stuffer security measures jot only around our financial institutions, but across the nooks and crannies of the country. I want to urge the Nigeria Police to ensure that these men of the underworld are arrested and diligently prosecuted. May God heal our land. Amen,” the governorship hopeful prayed.
