Royal Fathers Eulogise Oluwo On 5th Coronation Anniversary, Describe Him A Monarch Of Progress

 

Royal fathers across geopolitical zones, on Saturday, eulogised the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu I, on his 5th coronation anniversary.

Notable traditional rulers who praised the Oluwo for the unprecedented development he has brought to the town within the five years of his reign include Olofa of Offa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mufutau Muhammed Gbadamosi Ajagungbade I Esuwoye II, Alapomu of Apomu, Olusin and Aafaji, Emir of Bichi, in Kano State, Nasiru Ado Bayero, among others.

The Olofa of Offa, via his goodwill message, congratulated the people of Iwo for being blessed with the leadership of the Oluwo, saying the town has witnessed many development and progress since the installation of Oba Abdulrasheed.

Oba Olofa, however, implored the residents of Iwoland to continue to support the monarch in his bid to develop the community.

“I congratulate the people of Iwo for being blessed with the leadership of Oba AbdulRasheed. He has shown what he can do and what he stands for in the last five years on the throne and I am sure they (people of Iwo) are lucky to have him. I pray for many more fruitful and peaceful reign for him”

“Since the installation of Oluwo of iwoland Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Many development and progress has happened to the beautiful town, like the New approved of Iwo Federal College of Education, Telu Roundabout square and others, construction and rehabilitation of Iwo/ Osogbo road.

“I want to enjoin you all to support Oluwo in his bid to transform the state. Let use this opportunity to appreciate the Governror of Osun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola the work well done. I was very happy to see the Governor has commenced the construction of Iwo/Osogbo road. May God Almighty continue to be with him. Please my good people of Iwo, I want you continue to support Oluwo of Iwo and Governor Gboyega Oyetola,” Oba Olofa said.

Similarly, Oba Gbadamosi, who described the Oluwo as a man of action and a buff for ancestral and cultural heritage, eulogised Oba Abdulrasheed for the unprecedented development he has brought to the town within the five years of his reign.

The elated Oluwo, who could not hide his excitement, appreciated the guests for deeming it necessary to identify with him over the five years of his reign.

Oba Abdulrasheed used the occasion to pray for an end to Covid-19 pandemic, just as he enjoined Nigerians to adhere strictly to COVID-19 preventive measures by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The Oluwo, however, expressed optimism that the issue pandemic would soon become a thing of the past.

The monarch vowed that anyone who enters the Iwo community with COVID-19 will be automatically healed, saying traditional rulers were God’s ambassadors on earth, hence, the healing power inherent in them.

“God has bestowed power on kings to legislate in his behalf on earth and I want to thank God that he has been supporting me since I became the king of this ancient town.

“Within the 5 years of my reign, the community has witnessed a series of development. My subjects are living happily and healthy.

“We did not have any issue of coronavirus. Anybody with COVID-19 that enters Iwo will be automatically healed.

“I pray for you as I am celebrating 5 years on the throne that all stagnations, poverty, and sickness of all my subjects shall come to an end.

“By extension, the same way that none of my subjects contract coronavirus, I pray that the pandemic will cease in all parts of this country and our economy will bounce back,” the Oluwo of Iwoland prayed.
