Read Open Letter To Iyiola Omisore By Akintunde Bello Sheriff

Otunba Iyiola Omisore, Dear Excellency, Do you have to go Oga? Please do not embark on this conclusion based on hasty decisions.

A new Party in Osun State stands little or no chance. For my love for you Oga, we can not watch you approach premature retirement politically and not do anything. You are the first VIP Politician I was exposed to and whom I interacted closely with without demarcation.

This is why I feel obliged to say that you must not go yet Sir. The PDP has been your home where you make very big fortunes and command greatest respect. When the AD and its elderly cult wanted to cut you short, the PDP offered you an abode. You were put in the prison based on trumped up charges, in the hand of the AD Government of Osun State and its Oyo State counterpart, but the PDP never cared, when you were having no liberty and freedom, that PDP Party decided you must be Senator and that Senate was a turnaround point in your life Oga.

You chaired the most powerful standing committee, you were able to build a cabal support base where you are Captain, you remained as powerful as a Senate President of even a President. Billions meant little to you.

God has been faithful to you in your life trajectory. The PDP made you foremost Personality. You don’t have to turn your back on her because of a mundane matter of Executives sharing. If you will be Governor, you will be Governor, but with due and greatest respect Oga, do not show ingratitude to your loving God by giving God the timing.

Governor Yahya BELLO of Kogi State had no party Executives nor Delegates but he was sworn in as Chief Executive when God wanted to use him.

Senator Ademola Adeleke miraculously emerged as a Senator by humiliating a sitting Governor when it was his time to shine.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was an elected Governor but he never served in that capacity, instead, God elevated him and he became elected Vice President and perhaps the most influential Vice President till date in the history of Nigeria.

Distinguished Senator Iyiola Omisore, the One I fondly call Excellency in all our conversations,  your PDP Family in Osun State still love you.

Disagreement between a Husband and his Wife does not have to end up in a divorce.

The future is uncertainty where you are heading and it will be unfortunate if you do not consider that from the inception. In 2013 or thereabouts, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade quit the PDP because of the fear that you wielded all the powers and have hijacked all the organs of the Party. He nearly wept because he did not envisage he was going to be made powerless in a Party where he was State Chairman and which he midwifed to the Government House by defeating a gradually incumbent moribund AD Party.

In Akinbade’s words on that day before he sojourned to the Labour Party where he lost woefully recording only 8000 votes across 30 Local Governments and the Area Office in Modakeke, Fatai Akinbade II stated that he was no longer needed in PDP because you Omisore had captured everything in the Party and was still brandishing it to mock them.

The same Akinbade is today back in the PDP. Oga you succeeded by winning the party’s ticket after facing an epoch battle with Late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke as late Entrant into the race.

Both Akinbade and Adeleke left PDP like you are planning to do now, but they did not make the Governorship even after that. Akinbade is back today, were Adeleke to be alive till now, he will be probably have been back. Yourself will have cause to come back should you take the decision God forbids.  History has a way of repeating itself.

Put your affairs in God alone, call out the old spirit in you and extend heart of sportsmanship to your former Comrades who all suddenly turned to your Foes. Mama Emily Omisore, your loving Mother of blessed memory will love to see you if the Dead can see, amidst and amongst those she was satisfied can be with you for good, your Friendyour Old Friends and Followers.

But should you insist you must cross the Rubicon, you will always remember that your diligent and once supportive and ardent Believer named ABS as you fondly call me too, said these things. That way leads nowhere and only Former Governor Ladoja of Oyo State can tell from his experience. If we are Family, my Dear Excellency, Apesin Iyiola Omisore, We shall meet again…

Accept my fondest Regards and esteem Love Oga!!!

Yours Truly,

Akintunde Bello Sheriff ABS

EDE, OSUN STATE.
