Ramadan: BOA Charges Muslim faithful On Piety

A governorship aspirant in the All Progressives Congress in Osun state, Benedict Olugboyega Alabi BOA has urged Muslim faithful  to be more pious in the Holy month of Ramadan and beyond.

While congratulating the Muslims in a statement made available on Wednesday, BOA expressed the importance of piety in the lives of the faithful in the country and most importantly those in Osun.

He also tasked them to uphold all the tenets of Islam.

According to him, “fasting is intended to bring Muslims closer to God and remind them of those less fortunate. It is one of the five obligatory pillars of Islam, along with the Muslim declaration of faith, daily prayers, annual charity — known as “zakat” — and performing the Hajj pilgrimage in Makkah.”

“As we prepare to start this year’s Ramadan, may Almighty Allah keep us alive throughout, grant us good health, willingness, zeal, ability and all we need and want to enable us commence and conclude  the fasting successfully. May we grab Allah’s immense  forgiveness, blessings & mercies inherent in the month of  Ramadan. Amen. “
