Ramadan: AP Guber Aspirant, Loye Asks Muslims To Always Pursue Peace

A governorship aspirant on the platform of Accord Party (AP), in the September 22 poll in Osun state, Mr. Babatunde Olaniyi Loye, has admonished Muslims in the state to observe Ramadan fast in strict adherence to injunctions of Almighty Allah.

He said the admonition became imperative owing to the importance of the Holy Month and how adherents cconduct their affairs during the fasting period.

The politician in a statement he personally signed, a copy of which was obtained in Osogbo, the state capital, during the weekend, said Islam being religion of peace, places huge obligation on the Muslims to pursue peace always.

He said using the period of 30 days Ramadan fast to pray for peace among Nigerians, and especially in Osun as the state approaches a major election, is a must, adding that with piety and supplications by Muslims, all will be well with the state.

The statement reads: “In strict compliance with Allah’s injunctions, Muslims in Osun must pray for peace, as its people go to poll in another 4 months.

“They should also use the period to pray for peace in Nigeria and Osun in particular. With intense prayers in this Holy Month, whatever concern about the September poll, will be taken care of by Allah.”
