The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, H.E Atiku Abubakar has won Ayedire Local government in Osun State.
According to the Electoral Officer of the local government, Prof. M Oboto, Atiku polled 7,739 votes while President Muhammodu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress garnered 7581.
The local government is where Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, a former governorship aspirant of the party and strong ally of Atiku hails from.
At Ogunbiyi’s Ward 05, Atiku recorded 915 votes while Buhari polled 731 votes. He cast his ballot at Polling Unit 03, Ward 05, Ile-Ogbo area of the local government.
At the unit, Atiku polled 147 votes to defeat the incumbent president who scored 114.
