Police Arrest Suspected Ritualists, Armed Robbers In Osun

The Osun State Police Command has arrested suspected ritualists in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, AMILOADED reports.

This was disclosed by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, while parading the suspected at the Command headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State.

According to police boss, the five suspected ritualists, Adewunmi Gbadamosi ‘m’ 50yrs, Rasheed Ajani ‘m’ 55yrs, Saka Akeem ‘m’ 56yrs, Abiodun Adetimilehin ‘m’ 56yrs, Olagunju Adetunji ‘m’ 40yrs; were arrested at no. 7 Oke Ayepe area Osogbo, Oke Olodo area Kajola Ijesha and no. 10 RC C junction Kajola Ijesha Atakunmosa west LGA, Osun State respectively.

Olokode further disclosed that the suspects were arrested with two decaying hands and two legs of one kehinde ‘m’ surname and address yet unknown.

He added that the “principal suspect one Adewumi Gbadamosi confessed to the crime that the head was given to one Olagunju Adetunji for ritual.”

The police commissioner further assured the residents of Osun State that the state would not be a safe haven for criminals and unscrupulous elements.

Meanwhile, the Osun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspected armed robbers in the state.

Disclosing the arrest at the Police Command headquarters in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Wednesday, the State Police Commissioner, CP Olawale Olokode, disclosed that the suspects were arrested at Ile-Ife.

The suspects identified as Hammed Abiodun ‘m’ 19yrs and Godwin John ‘m’ 35yrs, were arrested after they had invaded Ilesa/ Ife Expressway in Osu Area of Osun State.

The police commissioner stated, “On 20/05/2021 at about 11:50 am, a gang of armed robbers armed with guns and other dangerous weapons invaded Ilesa/ Ife Expressway in Osu Area, attacked a commercial Toyota picnic vehicle at gun point and dispossessed the passengers of their valuable properties such as handsets, Jewelries, cash sum of money and other valuables items.

“One of the armed robbers after robbing their victims, the following day wore a Jean Jacket dispossessed the victim (driver) of to a first generation Bank, Lagere, Ile-Ife and unfortunately for him, the driver identified the robber and his cloth wore, alerted the police and two of the suspects were arrested.”

Ololode added that the suspects would be charged to court after the completion of the investigation.
