A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi has felicitated with the entire people of Edeland on the 14th coronation anniversary of the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa I, on the throne of his forefathers, AMILOADED reports.
This was contained in a statement issued by the media organ of Omooba Babayemi’s campaign and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
According to Omooba Babayemi, since Oba Adesola’s ascension to the throne, Ede as an ancient town has witnessed positive growth with numerous developmental projects by governments at various levels and individuals.
While praying for the frontline traditional ruler to live long for the betterment of domain, the governorship hopeful admonished Ede residents and indigenes to join hands with Oba Adesola Lawal in all his developmental strides in the town.
“As a Gbongan Prince, I cannot but wish Oba Adesola Lawal long life on the throne of his forebears, while admonishing all residents and indigenes of the ancient of Ede to join hands with the traditional ruler in his developmental strides to improve the lots of the town among its peers,” Omooba Babayemi stated.
The PDP governorship aspirant further charged all residents of the state to continue to accord deserved respect to traditional rulers as they are the custodians of Yoruba culture.
“I want to use this opportunity to charge our people to continue according deserved respect to all our traditional rulers, as they are custodians of Yoruba culture and traditions,” Omooba Babayemi stated further.
