Oyetola’s Wife Distributes Palliative To 25,000 Private School Teachers In Osun

The wife of Osun Governor and the president, IleriOluwa Development Initiatives, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola has distributed palliative materials to private school teachers in the state.

No fewer than 25,000 teachers under the umbrella of the National Association of Proprietors of private school teachers, Osun Chapter, benefited from the gesture.

Speaking while presenting the relief items to the executive of the association in her office on Wednesday in Osogbo, Mrs Oyetola said teachers and proprietors are among those that have been severely affected since the outbreak of the pandemic in Nigeria.

The distribution of the palliative there, according to her, was part of the measures to mitigate the hardship faced by the private schools teachers in Osun.

Mrs Oyetola described education as a vital key to Nigeria’s economic growth and appreciated teachers in the state for their commitment towards securing the future of the nation through their incomparable work of training the children.

She prayed God to continue to bless them with divine wisdom.

According to Mrs Oyetola, Proprietors of private schools in the country could not continue paying salary of their staff due to COVID-19, hence her resolve to donate the palliative in order to cushion the effect of the joblessness.

In her reaction, the State Chairman of NAPPS, Alhaja Muinat Adepoju appreciated Mrs Oyetola for the hand of love extended to private school teachers.

She stated that the sudden closure of schools in the country due to COVID 19 pandemic has brought a lot of hardship to teachers under the payroll of each private schools in the state and the country at large.
