Oyetola Remains My Elder Brother, I Can Never Fight Him, Aregbesola Replies Detractors

The immediate past Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has said that there is no rancour between him and the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, saying it was a figment of imagination of those peddling such ‘rumor’

Aregbesola made the clarification on Sunday in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, while speaking at a Ramadan Lecture organised to celebrate his 62nd birthday by a sociopolitical organisation, En-Route Rauf, with the theme: Leadership and Followership In Nigeria: The Islamic Perspectives.

He dispelled rumours of any frosty relationship between him and the incumbent Governor Oyetola urging the people to disregard any information to that effect.

Aregbesola said the present government was as a result of the uncommon and unwaivering commitment of his resolve to ensure the entrenchment of good governance in the state of Osun.

“Let me clear the air that there is no brigandage between me and the present government. The current government is as a result of our unfettered commitment, result and effort. We cannot but continue to pray for the progress of what we laboured and strived for”

“Oyetola is my senior brother. He has achieved a lot in his personal life before having a stint at all in government. So, there’s nothing meaningful in me having any issues with him. Let the detractors know that there can only be peace within us and the state”
