Youths in Osun state have interacted with some of the governorship candidates and unanimously made demands that should form some of core policies and programmes when elected at the Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
The youths agenda under the umbrella of Kimpact Development Initiative {KDI} and “Vote Not Fight’’, organisations that ensure that the aggregating voice of the young people are heard, asked the candidates to focus more on education, employment, health, agricultureand poverty alleviation when elected and sworn in.
At the iteractive section with some of the candidates in Osogbo on Tuesday, the Executive Director of Kimpact Development Initiative {KDI}, Bukola Idowu, stated that ‘’it is the desire of Osun youth to vote into power and reelect only candidate who would incorporate these demands as part of their campaign manifestoes and take measurable steps to implement them once elected.
Idowu added that ’’ Osun youth would not bring the discussion on youth priority issue as captured in this agenda to a close after the 2018 governorship election.
Also it is expected that this agenda would stimulate a conversation among osun youth on youth inclusion, decision making, governance and service delivery in the state.
