Osun Youths Hold Solidarity Rally In Osogbo For SDP Governorship Deputy Candidate, Yemi Lawal (See Photos)

Youths across Osun state on Monday peacefully demonstrated in support of their fellow youth, deputy candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Alhaji Yemi Lawal and described the inclusion of a youth by the party as a welcome development.

The youths across all political divide took to major areas of Osogbo and prevented free flow of traffic in the capital city.

The rally, described as “Victory Walk” turned to what can be regarded as a revolution of sort to the present administration in the state as the youths condemned the policies of the Governor Rauf Aregbesola government.

The walk took off from Technical College playing ground and ended at the SDP party Secretariat, Ogo Oluwa Osogbo.

At major junctions and bus stops, several youths took their turn to register their displeasure against the present government and declared support for Lawal and SDP.

The demonstrating youths walked through Okefia, Old Garage, Ajegunle, Igbona, Ayetoro, Sabo, Ahmadiyya, Oja Oba, Jaleoyemi, and lastly at Ogo Oluwa.

The youths were seen holding placards with different messages registering their displeasure against what they termed as the bad policies of the present day government.

They demanded free, fair and credible poll and for the will of the Osun people can prevail.

Addressing the youths, Lawal reeled out the plans and programme of the SDP governorship candidate, Senator Iyiola  Omisore for Osun and youths in particular.

The youths expressed confidence in Omisore and declared their total support for SDP.  They said they were confident that Omisore led government would consider youths in his government if voted in the September 22nd governorship election in Osun.
