Osun West-By-election: Seriff, Omisore Others Canvass Vote For Ademola Adeleke

The National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Sen. Alimodu Sheriff, on Wednesday charged eligible voters in Osun West senatorial district to come out en mass and cast their vote for the party candidate in the upcoming July 8 by-election.

Sheriff also implored people of the district not to be intimidated by some political players who are hell bent to win the election by force.

The PDP National Chairman who was so excited by the large turn out of the party’s supporters in Apomu,  Apomu,  Isokan Local Government Area of the State, expressed optimism that the PDP candidate would emerge victorious in the Saturday election.

He noted that the party is now united saying “today is the day that begins the transformation of the PDP.

“Osun  PDP are intact today and that  also shows that unity has come to  the state.

” I want this unity to continue after Adeleke’s election  and I am sure my friend Sen.  Iyiola Omisore will agree with me”.

Sheriff who later introduced  Adeleke as party’s flag bearer to the members , urged electorate  to vote for PDP.

Also speaking ,the Osun  PDP Chairman, Mr Soji Adagunodo, urged the electorate to vote for  Adeleke.

Adagunodo urged party members   to embark on house to house campaign to convince the electorates  on the need to for them to  vote for the party candidate.

He  also appealed to  them to monitor their votes to avoid manipulation.

In his remarks, the party’s candidate , Adeleke, implored the party supporters to vote massively  for him.

He promised  that if voted in, he would  continue with the giant strides of his late brother.

Adeleke  promised to disburse 25 million scholarship for students in all the 10 Local Government made up the Senatorial District.

In attendance during the campaign, are; the National Secretary of PDP, Wale Oladipo,formal gubernatorial aspirant of Labour Party, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Senator Iyiola Omisore, House of Member representing Ibokun/Oriade,Hon.Oluwole Oke,Hon.Kayode Oduoye, Senator Olasunkumi Akinlabi,Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa among others
