Osun PDP Swears In Akindele Olayiwola As Party Senatorial Leader, Other SWC Members

The Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sworn in Hon. Akindele Famuyide Olayiwola ‘Jagu’ as the Senatorial Leader/Vice Chairman (East) of the party, AMILOADED reports.

This is just as Hon. Ayobami Folorunso Olalekan was sworn in as the new Financial Secretary of the party in the state.

The latest development was made known via a statement by PDP Publicity Secretary in Osun State, Hon. Ayodeji Areola, on Thursday.

Areola stated that the duo were recommended to the PDP State Executive Committee by the local government party chairmen and leaders of the party in the zone and accordingly ratified by the SEC to replace Wale Ojo and Remi Arogundade who were earlier in the week removed from their respective offices due to gross misconduct and anti party activities.

Addressing the newly sworn in SWC members, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Sunday Bisi enjoined Akindele Famuyide to see his appointment as recommended by party chairmen and leaders in the Ife-Ijesa Senatorial District as required by constitution of the party in the instant circumstance as a challenge to his political credentials, urging him to do everything within his instincts to improve electoral fortunes of the party in the zone.
