Osun Entrepreneur Summit Holds 3-day Business Management Training For Business Owners

The Osun Entrepreneur Summit and Award in conjunction with Bank of Industry (BOI) has organised a free three days of adavanced Business Management training for business owners in Osun State, AMILOADED reports.

The event held at Ripples Hotel, Osogbo, the Osun State capital started on Monday and would last tll Wednesday, December 14.

In an interview with the convener of the Osun State Summit and Award, Adeniyi Adebayo, he said the essence of the training was to foster relationship between entrepreneurs and to train them on how to manage their businesses.

He added that the participants should effect the knowledge they have gained from the training into their various businesses.

Adeniyi advised the participants to build relationship with the organizations that were present at the programme in order to grow their businesses.

The organizations included Bank of Industry (BOI), Corporate affairs commission, amongst others.

He said: “The essence of this program is to foster relationship between entrepreneurs,to train them in order to be able to manage their businesses. The expectation is that each and everyone present here today would go back to the businesses and impact one or two of the knowledge they’ve been able to aquire by attending the training.

“I think there is a platform to network,there are bank of Industry and other organizations right here,so I’m sure they will leverage on those relationships to build their businesses.”

One of the guest speakers, who works with Bank of Industry (BOI), Osogbo branch, Mrs Elenpe AdeotI, said: “Our requirements stand still but the first thing you must have is your certificate of registration. Before accessing our loan,you must register your company.

“You are coming as a company not as an individual, you register your company, during the course of the registration,the Mandate on it must be in line with what you are doing like if you say you are a manufacturer, it must be stated clearly, manufacturer or producer or a farming,we have different categories of business that we support.like Agro processing,it should be stated there.

“After getting the CAC registered,you come down to our office to take the check list,part of the documentation is the formal letter on your letter head to be written to us,the purpose of the loan,why you are taking the loan will be stated on it.

“Along with, it depends on the amount you are taking,you can take up to one to one billion. It depends on the size of your company. We give you the check list,we have for the micro credit and we have for the SMS. So is in two categories.”

Speaking to AMILOADED, Mrs Ayantoyinbo Adetomilola who was also one of the speakers, said the participants should be enlightened on how to transact and deal with their customers.
