Osun Blessed To Have Oyetola As Governor, Says Federal Character Commission

The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has commended Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State on the strides recorded in spite of the little allocation that comes to the state, AMILOADED reports.

The Commission, while describing Oyetola’s calm and disposition as the hallmarks of good leadership, said Osun State is blessed to have him as its leader.

The Chairperson of the Commission, Hajiya Muheeba Dankaka OON, made the comment during a courtesy visit to the governor at his office in Abere, Osogbo, the state capital on Thursday.

Speaking, Dankaka restated the Commission’s resolve to ensure equitable distribution of opportunities among States as he assured that no state will be marginalised.

“We assure the state that our Commission will stay true to its mandate to ensure that no state is marginalised or shortchanged, and that includes Osun state.

“But we must commend Osun State, such a blessed State. I must particularly appreciate the leadership style of Governor Oyetola who has impacted the State positively in spite of the little allocation that comes to it.

“His calm and peaceful disposition is indeed a hallmark of good leadership,” Dankaka said.

In his remark, Governor Oyetola appreciated the Commission for its efforts at ensuring national unity and cohesion of the federation units.

The governor said, “We look forward to equitable distribution of opportunities, especially in ways that can impact our teeming youth population.

“We thank the Commission for its interventions in the past, present and in advance for what it will do in the future to protectOsu’s interest,” Oyetola stated.

The Commission’s Chairperson was accompanied by the FCC’s Commissioners in Osun, Oyo, Ekiti and Abia as well as the Secretary of the Commission and the Osun State Coordinator.
