A member of the Osun state House of Assembly, Hon. Tunde Olatunji has offered to sponsor the education of two indigent students of the state.
Olatunji, member representing Ife North State Constituency, made this kind gesture to mark his birthday.
Amiloaded gathered that the beneficiaries of the scholarship include a 17-year-old Kamarudeen Ridwan. Ridwan is an SS3 student of Ataoja High School osogbo and he emerged overall best student of the school and clinched second best among candidates who wrote the recent UTME in Osun State.
Ridwan is the fist born out of the family of 5. His father is a bricklayer while his mother is a “fufu” seller.
Another beneficiary of the gesture is an SS1 student of the school simply identified as Adeyemi Ifeoluwa.
Hon. Olatunji had visited Ataoja school of science on Tuesday to celebrate his birthday with the students of the school before he was told of the remarkable performance of Ridwan.
The Assembly member also dedicated his birthday ceremony to Leah Sharibu whom he shares same birthday with. Shuabu clocked 16 today.
While addressing journalists, the principal of the school, Dr.(Mrs) Titi Adeagbo expressed amazement at Olatunji’s gesture and wished other politicians could emulate him.
The principal prayed for him for God to grant him his heart desires. She now advised Ridwan and Ifeoluwa to face their studies with all seriousness.
