The erstwhile Senior Special Assistant to former governor of Osun on Rural and Community Affairs, Atunluse Moshood Titilola, has faulted the statement credited to the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Hon Soji Adagunodo over the 2019 budget laid by Gov Gboyega Oyetola before the state House of Assembly on Thursday.
The leading opposition party in the state had in a statement issued by its Chairman, Soji Adagunodo described the christening of the 2019 appropriation as a “budget of hope” as confirmation of the hopeless situation the APC under the watch of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, left the state after 8 years
But, in his reaction, Hon Titiola decried the statement, describing it as an aberration and lack of knowledge of infrastructural and economic development Aregbesola administration has brought to the state with the space of eight years.
Titilola noted that, PDP has no clear cut of governance consequently, does not comprehend the economy viability of the state during the administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
The former SSA to Aregbesola on community development noted that, as a man in charge of community development, Aregbesola’s administration implemented the budget slated for community development to the letter.
He said, Aregbesola revamped all sectors which have been bastardised by PDP seven and half years misruled , explaining that, christened 2019 budget as ‘Budget of Hope’ by governor Oyetola should not be misinterpreted.
“Tagging 2019 Budget as a budget of hope should not be misinterprete, if PDP understand the concept, they won’t misinterpret it, they threw the state into a total darkness, it was Aregbesola that re-engineered the state and made it look like a state indeed”
He blamed PDP and his cohort for lacking proper interpretation of words, adding that their impunity and desperation clearly shows that they have no knowledge of governance.
Reacting to the statement by the PDP Chairman, Adagunodo, saying where the state that has about N5b debt to pay monthly will get over N150B to execute the budget? Titilola said, governor Oyetola knows the technical know how of governance, he is capable and has already file turning things to make it work.
He stressed further that, the opposition party wants to know how things work and how Oyetola’s predecessor managed the affairs of the state but lack understanding of how it happened.
He however urged the citizens of the state not to listen to the deceptive of the PDP but remain focused and continue supporting APC government in the state for more infrastructural developments.
