Osun 2018: People’s Redemption Party Elects Candidate, Boasts Of Victory

The candidate of The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in Osun State, Alhaji Tajudeen Badmus has emerged through a keenly constested primary on Thursday.

The National Secretary of the party,  who doubles as returning officer in the Governorship Primary election committee, Mr Tunde Alli expressed confidence  that the candidate would emerge victorious at the September 22 governorship election.

He said the candidate would transform the state if emerged winner.

He said the party was ready to liberate the people of the state by providing all social amenities required to make the life more comfortable for the habitats, if given the opportunity to serve.

While assuring members of the party that they would all enjoy what they have laboured for, Alli said PRP as a party that believes in equal right, does not have regional arrangement.

Announcing the results of the election, Alli said Badmus polled a total of 75 votes out of 85 votes cast to emerge as candidate.

Presenting the party flag to Badmus in Osogbo, Alli said 3 delegates were selected from each of the 30 local governments including the area council.

According to Alli, “while Olajide Gbolahan and Bolarinwa Adedokun polled 4 polls each, the fourth contestant voluntarily withdrew from the race.”

In his acceptance speech, Badmus promised all round developmental projects in the state.

He promised that PRP  would work to improve lives of people, put food on their table and give the people a new sense of belonging.

Badmus who is a  chattered accountant vowed to use his wealth of experience to take the state to greater heights, just as he promised to create jobs for the youth so as to boost the economy of the state.
