Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency Endorses Prof Adeolu Durotoye As Osun Next Governor

Ahead of the September 22 governorship election in Osun state, Executive officers in Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun and Orolu local government areas of the state under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party have adopted Prof. Adeolu Durotoye as their sole candidate.

The gathering on Sunday was made up of over 100 people comprising local government executives and party leaders from Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu federal constituency at the Osogbo country home of Prof Adeolu Durotoye.

The leaders and local government executives in the federal Constituency unanimously agreed that Prof Adeolu Durotoye is the best man to clinch the PDP ticket if the party would take over the Abeere Governor’s office come November 2018.

The motion for the adoption of Durotoye was moved by Hon Kadri Kolawole Jamiu from Irepodun LG and seconded by Hon Kobaje Taiwo from Osogbo LG.

Also, the motion was supported by all, including Alh. Siyanbola Wasiu who is the elected organizing secretary of Orolu LG, Hon Ademola Adebayo who is the Chairman of all former councilors in Olorunda and Osogbo LG and also Hon Murina Wasiu who is a former councilor of ward 8 Olorunda LG.  Alh Saka Mabro a frontline PDP Elder also supported the motion.

Prof Adeolu Durotoye while speaking at the event reeled out his manifestos which include creation of 200,000 jobs within the first 12months in government, value chain agriculture from planting , harvesting to final sale of farm produce, prompt payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities, quality and high standard education policy among others.

The speakers at the event alluded to Prof Adeolu Durotoye as being highly cerebral, locally bred, globally exposed, young and vibrant.

And from Orolu LG are Alh Yisa Bello, Alh Nulge, Alh Hamzat Mosheed, Hon J.O Akano

Mrs R.I Ogunyemi among others.
