Opposition Parties Are Only Good In Telling Lies, Don’t Listen To Them, Aregbesola Tells Osun Residents

Osun state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola has asked the people of the not to listen to the opposition parties allegeding that the parties only dish out lies.

He said allegations from the opposition against his administration are calculated to discredit him and also jeopardize the people’s progress and development in the state.

Aregbesola disclosed this on Saturday, while addressing the people of the state at Osogbo stadium after the endurance trek in the major streets of Osogbo.

He advised voters in the state to not listen to political liar’s as the state prepares for the September 22 gubernatorial election. He said it was difficult for the liars to identify with the achievements of his administration.

He said that opposition would destroy the good programs that Osun residents have been benefitting from.

He said O’meal had feed 1,250,000 pupils monthly since April 2012, among other projects like Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (O’YES) and O’FISH.

He commended the O’CDC for organizing walk to live that will assist people to burn fat and keep fit.

The trek that was organized by Community Development Council (CDC) tagged “Thank You Ogbeni” consists of residents of Osun with Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

The trek that kicked off at Government House, Oke-Fia to Olaiya, Isale Osun, Oja Oba, Sabo, Testing ground, Stadium, Orita and Baba Onisekere before terminating at the stadium.

The Chairman of the O’CDC, Alhaji Abubakar Isa said Osun residents came out for the endurance trek to appreciate the present administration under the watch of Rauf Aregbesola over the tremendous infrastructural developments across the local government and area councils.

Isa said that his administration has turned Osun to a better place for all residents in the state which has uplifted the state among its contemporaries in Nigeria.

He emphasized that development that came to Osun in the last seven and half years has contributed positively to the lives of the people in the state.

He added that O’CDC is ready to support any candidate that All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun chapter, present to succeed Aregbesola in order to continue with the good governance.

Meanwhile, the Primus Expression media group has awarded some members of the executive and the legislature with a view to appreciating Aregbesola for the opportunity that have been given to youths in his administration.

The group awarded deputy governor, Chief Mrs Titi-Laoye Tomori, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ajibola Basiru, Chief of staff, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola,

Speaker, State of Osun House of Assembly, Hon Najeem Salaam and Chairman of O’CDC, Alhaji Abubakar Isa.
