A member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olaoluwa John Onifade has said he would on Friday, June 22, publicly declare his intention to contest the seat of Obokun Constituency in the House of Assembly next year.
In a statement he issued on Wednesday, Onifade, popularly known as D’Vibrant, said the declaration would hold at Methodist Primary School, Ipetu-Ile at 3pm.
Onifade had consulted notable members of the party widely and deliberated with them on his interest to represent the people of Ipetu-Ile and Ilase-Ijesa at the Assembly.
He had also toured wards and towns of Obokun Constituency and had sought the approval and support of his constituents to declare his intention to contest the seat.
With the warm reception that greeted all his tours, he said it was clear that his constituents are eagerly anticipating him to declare his intention to represent them in the State House of Assembly by 2019.
His manifesto centres on youth empowerment, revival of the education sector, quality healthcare, women emancipation, wealth creation and agricultural resurgence of the Constituency.
