Oba Arowotawaya Eulogises Obasanjo At 85,Describes His Life As One Of Tireless, Selfless And Patriotic Service To Fatherland

The Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa in Oriade local government area of Osun State,Oba (Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya the second has congratulated former president of Federal Republic of Nigeria , Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on the occasion of his 85th birthday describing him as an icon and a major source of blessing to Nigeria.

According to Oba Arowotawaya in a release personally signed,a time like this provides opportunity to reflect on the former president’s invaluable roles and contributions to the unity and cohesion of Nigeria, the brotherhood of all Africans as well as peace and amity over the globe.

 

While noting that the elder statesman is not only a rare breed but also a symbol of divine grace,the traditional ruler applauded Chief Obasanjo for his strong belief in the indivisibility of Nigeria.

 

He recalled that his relationship with Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, of over two decades,  dates back to his position as the Founding President of Forum of Nigerian Professionals in Ghana (a body of top bankers, business executives, lecturers and other professionals who lived and worked in Ghana as expatriates) and as the Founding Director General of the Ghana- Nigeria Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the promoter and organiser of the annual Ghana – Togo – Benin  – Nigeria Business Summit which President Olusegun Obasanjo has gracefully chaired in the past along with some other Ecowas presidents and past presidents.

 

“At 85,there is no gainsaying the fact that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has etched his name in the sands of time and has become the conscience of Nigeria”

” Besides as a father of the Nation,

the former president had never wavered in participating in activities capable of promoting the socio-political and economic well-being of the country since he left office in 2007″

 

Oba Arowotawaya prayed for renewed strength, protection, favour, mercy and more grace to continue serving humanity for the octogenarian.
