Osun State Commandant of NSCDC, Mr. Ayodele Philip Olusola made this known to Amiloaded correspondent while parading the two suspects at the command’s state headquarters.
According to him, the duo suspects were arrested by officers of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at Ikire following a tip off from a complainant Mr Kehinde Adedoyin who explained that he sold a car worth Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira(850,000) to Mr Abubakar and Mohammed in which the duo paid him with One Thousand Naira denomination which was counted and completed, but immediately they left the one thousand Mayra denomination changed to one hundred naira denomination and formal Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira(850,000=) changed to One Hundred and Three Thousand Four Hundred Naira(103,400=).
Investigation by NSCDC further revealed that the complainant, Mr Adedoyin Kehinde is not the first victim of the suspects as other four(4) victims later showed up, claiming they were victims of the same fraudulent act.
The State Commandant, Mr. Ayodele Philip Olusola therefore assured members of the public that the Corps would not tolerate any frauduent act in the state saying that necessary actions will be taken to ensure that the duo suspects do not go unpunished under the law.
