Noah Olawuwo Oderinu Foundation Launched In Osun

The family of popular Osun broadcaster, Dayo Oderinu, has unveiled Noah Olawuwo Oderinu Foundation (NOOF) to cater for less privileged in the society, AMILOADED reports.

The unveiling which was held at the SOB event Hall Osogbo, the Osun State capitall on Monday, also marked the 5th anniversary of one of the popular broadcaster’s radio programmes on Rave FM, ‘Karakata’.

The event also featured the preservation of award of excellence to deserving distinguished men and women who gave philanthropic supports to the downtrodden in the society through Karakata program.

Speaking, the chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, thanked the organisers of the event in honour of late Deacon Noah Olawuwo Oderinu who was a friend and associate until his death.

Alhaji Akinbade maintained that the late Deacon Oderinu lived his life in his lifetime to serve the humanity.

Dr. Adetunbi Saheed Ige, in his keynote address, commended the organisers of the event and gave reasons why it is necessary to give to the less privilege in the society., saying, “The major impact of charity is to make people happy.”

Adetunbi added that charity enables equitable distribution of wealth from where there is excess of amenities to where there is shortage of it to assist the less privilege, victims of war, terrorism or natural disasters.

He said, “I want to appreciate the organizers for this initiative. In our own little way let us give to make life bearable for us all.”

On his part, the NOOF Project Manager, Mr Dayo Oderinu, described the foundation after this father whose legacy had been to assist people to quality education and alleviation of poverty.

Oderinu stated, “NOOF is a child of purpose, it is an organization we are putting forward when we feel the society is challenged and we have been putting lots of efforts in the past in some areas of interventions.

“At this time we say let us restructure it into key thematic areas, namely, funding of education for the less privilege, that is, good access to quality education.”
