A Nigerian lawyer and Human Rights activist Barr. Malcolm Omirhobo has Thursday sued the Federal Government, Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Army, Ministry of Defense and Attorney General of the Federation over the continuous Arabic inscription on the naira notes and the flag of the Nigerian Army without considering Nigeria to be a secular nation.

He is seeking a Federal High Court to interpret the provisions of Section 10 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He filed two suits.

It is very unfortunate that the lawyer is exhibiting extreme hatred for and bias against a religion, Islaamophobia and narrow-mindedness in spite of the lawyer being a member of one of the learned professions. Roman and Arabic letters are two modes, among others, of written expressions of languages. In Nigeria, many of our languages are expressable in the two forms hence the wisdom of putting these on our National symbols such as the currencies!
Comment: if they have to remove Arabic from Nigeria notes then they have to consider the the cross symbol on hospitals and clinics across the Nation
