The Seriki Musulumi of Iwoland, Alhaji Moshood Kamal Okunola (MKO), today, donated an 18-seater bus to Oluwo Central Mosque.
Alhaji Kamal made the donation during his turbaning by the League of Imam and Alfas as the Seriki Musulumi of Iwoland.
The pioneer Seriki Musulumi was turbaned alongside Alhaja Serifat Opeyemi Folashade Aroworamimo as the Otun Iya Zuna of Iwoland.
The Royal Father of the Event, Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, acknowledged the gesture as first of it kind in Iwoland, encouraging others to emulate such enviable attribute.
Oluwo described Alhaji Kamal as one of the pride of Iwoland, saying his promotion is a blessing to the land.
Oba Akanbi admonished Muslims to extend generosity to their brotherhood as enshrined in the Holy Book. He disclosed such will promote love and encourage unity.
He enjoined the two title holders to use their position efficiently in advancing the image and integrity of Islam and Muslims.
Turbaning the new Honourary Chiefs, the Chief Imam of Iwoland, Sheik Abdulfatai Olododo, said the two are considered on merit for their contribution to Islam, as he tasked them to continously uphold the path of honour.
In his remark, Alhaji Kamal disclosed the donation was influenced by Oluwo and promoted by his desire to ease the logistic of Oluwo Central Mosque’s council.
He pledged his unalloyed support to the palace of Oluwo and Oluwo Central Mosque.
