Let Your Manifesto Be Truthful, Cleric Charges Najeem Salaam At Ramadan Lecture

A Muslim cleric,  Alhaji Maroof Ishola, has charged Honourable Najeem Salaam, an All People’s Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in the State of Osun, not to put in his manifesto any promise he would not be able to fulfill when he assumes the leadership mantle of the state. Venue

The cleric who is Mufasir of Osogboland gave this advice in his sermon during a Ramadan lecture and prayer session at his campaign office in Osogbo this evening.

The Mufasir ‎ also cautioned that the governorship aspiration should not be sought with hook and crook means, saying that the governorship aspirant has some of the attributes needed to inherit the good of the land.

He explained that whoever keeps promises will inherit the kingdom of God, adding that Salaam should take note of this when he assumes the leadership mantle of the state.

The cleric further charged the Speaker to embrace God in his quest for governorship aspiration in Osun, warning that Satan does not bless mankind without repercussion.

The Islamic cleric who recalled the superlative achievements of the incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola for eight years running said perpetuating of same could be sustained and improved upon by a character like Salaam who is known for humility.

The Mufasir who prayed that Allah should continue to direct the path of Aregbesola throughout the remaining part of his administration reiterated that the Speaker possesses the attributes needed to succeed the governor.

According to Alhaji Ishola, any leader who wishes to inherit the world must be tested, trusted, generous  and patient, which are the attributes Allah endowed Salaam with.

The venue of the event was jam-packed as traditional rulers, Islamic clerics from across the state and party supporters graced the occasion with fanfare.
