Following the report that some suspected gunmen abducted two travellers on Saturday evening around 7pm at Wasimi area along Ife – Ibadan expressway way in Osun State, the State Police Command has said the operatives have arrested three suspects
AMILOADED had earlier reported that the travellers were travelling to Ilesa from Ibadan and were heading toward Ikire before the incident occurred.
The security agencies engaged the gunmen in firefight and three suspects have been attested.
The suspects are; Musa Nuhu, Basiru Ali and Sule Sule.
It was gathered that the bus driver and one passenger were reportedly missing during the attack.
However, in a statement on Sunday morning signed BT the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Opalola Yemisi said the Police Command has launched a manhunt to arrest the other fleeing gunmen.
Yemisi further stated that a strong reinforcement of Police tactical units, JTF, local hunters, vigilantes with the police team have embarked on search/operations; combing the Bush for the two missing persons.
