The Management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife has described a circular asking students to resume on September 19 as fake and malicious.
Reacting to the circular purportedly signed by the school registrar, the Public Relations Officer of OAU, Mr Abiodun Olanrewaju told AMILOADED on the telephone on Tuesday that parents, guardians and students should disregard the contents and semantics of the circular in their entirety.
“We unequivocally state that the contents and semantics of the circular are false and malicious. We therefore urge parents, guardians and students of OAU to disregard it in its entirety. OAU can’t do anything without the dictates of the Ministry of Education and other concerned authorities and until we get a directive from them, OAU remains under lock and key,” Olanrewaju further told AMILOADED.
