Following the appointment and confirmation of the immediate past Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, as the Minister of Interior by President Muhammadu Buhari, a prominent chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Dr. Ismail Abiodun Saka-Layonu (SAN), has noted that the former Governor will perform optimally.
The frontline politician who had earlier described Aregbesola’s nomination as a reward for his hard work while piloting the affairs of Osun, explained through a statement that the all-round development witnessed in the state during his two-term tenure is an attestation of his ability to undertake and discharge in any position in the public service.
“Ogbeni Aregbesola as a former Governor has what it takes to deliver on the Next Level Agenda of the Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government going by his rich political background and administrative knowledge.
“With his passion to continually render selfless service to humanity, mode of progressive politics and countless human qualities, the State of Osun and indeed Nigeria at large will gain a lot through his new status.
“During his days as the Governor, he worked and enhanced the operation of most of the agencies and parastatals under the Ministry of Interior in Osun, so I am confident to say that the right man has been given the right job.
“Once again, I congratulate him and the good people of the State of Osun on this new development.” Dr. Abiodun Saka-Layonu (SAN) noted.
