In Osun :Magistrate Remands 28-Year-Old Man For Stealing

A Magistrate’s court sitting In Osogbo, the state capital of Osun State has remanded a 28-year-old man,  Soliu Hasan for allegedly stealing Aluminum Window frames and water tap. 

Police arraigned Hasan on Tuesday before Magistrate O. O Oladoke on one count charge of stealing. 

The prosecutor Inspector Olayiwola Rasaq told the court that the accused committed the offense on September 27, 2018 at IDP Camp behind new Eid mosque Oke-Baale along Ibokun road in Osogbo. 

Prosecutor explained that the defendant did possess 26 water tap and some Aluminum Window frames suspected to have been stolen. 

According to him the offense is contrary to and punishable under section 430(2) of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11.laws of Osun State 2003. 

The defendant  having no legal representation pleaded guilty to the count charge. 

The magistrate while ruling ordered that the accused be remanded in Ilesha prison custody. 

The case was adjourned to Oct 9 for fact.
