I Will Begin Reconstruction of Iwo-Osogbo Road Within My First 6 Months In Office -Adeleke

The Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke has promised to begin the reconstruction of the Iwo-Osogbo road within the first 6 months in office if elected Governor of the State on the September 22nd election.

Senator Adeleke gave this promise on Saturday while receiving thousands of defectors from the People’s Democratic Movement and other political parties into the PDP in Iwo.

This disclosure was contained in a statement signed and issued by Bamidele , the head of Media and Communication, Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organization.

The PDP candidate said in spite of the massive support previously enjoyed by the APC in Iwo and its environs, the Aregbesola administration failed to meet any of the major needs and aspirations of the people of the ancient town.

Senator Adeleke described the eight years of the Aregbesola as wasteful and unproductive in all sectors of the state’s economy.

He promised to revitalise the economy of Osun state through the implementation of well-thought out  programmes on Agriculture, Industrial development and social welfare of workers and other categories of people in Osun State.

Also speaking, Osun State chairman of the PDP, Hon Soji Adagunodo  said the party was set to stem capital flight through the promotion of local content in all sectors of the economy.

Hon  Adagunodo explained that one of the reasons for the huge indebtedness of the State as well as high incidents of abandoned projects was the penchant of the Aregbesola administration to award contracts at inflated costs to non indigenous contractors.

He promised that the PDP government will put an end to this and uphold transparency in all its financial dealings.

A frontline leader of the party who also contested for the governorship  ticket at the last primaries, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi described Senator Adeleke as God’s chosen vessel to rescue Osun from the misrule of the APC in Osun State.

Dr Ogunbiyi who had earlier hosted the PDP  leadership and thousands of party members at his residence in Ile-Ogbo called on the electorate to be vigilant and ensure that their votes count in the September 22nd Governorship election.

He pledged his total commitment to the victory  of Senator Ademola Adeleke at the governorship polls and charged all party members to intensify campaign  efforts in all nooks and crannies of the State.

The PDP governorship candidate and his entourage also paid a courtesy visit on the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi who prayed for God’s guidance and help for Senator Adeleke in his quest to be the next governor of Osun State.
