A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rotimi Makinde has said he had been making necessary consultations to re-contest seat in the lower chamber of the National Assembly in 2019.
This decision of returning to the Green Chamber, the lawmaker who represented Ife East Federal Constituency said was born out of the love he has for the people of his constituency and his state.
He then advised members of his party, the All Progressives Congress to come together, forgo personal interests and work towards ensuring that the best candidate emerge.
Hon. Makinde made this know to Amiloaded on Tuesday.
According to him,
“I recognise the fact that I am a child of destiny; I have absolute confidence in the power of my creator, the love of my state, my Constituency, communities and its environs remained paramount in the concrete part of my heart.
“I have been so privileged; I have seen the enormous advantage of being a ranking person in politics. My records and the lessons so far after my past experience shall guide me in taking appropriate decision on my next step in politics.
“In my own view, we (party members) must bury our personal ambition for now and collectively work to ensure we produce the best candidate to win the state for us in APC.”
