The fallout of the Sunday’s State Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State may further deepen the crisis rocking the opposition party as the aggrieved camp might be making plans to dump the party.
Hon. Soji Adagunodo had emerged the new Chairman of the Osun PDP on Sunday during the well attended congress.
Apparently not satisfied with the outcome of the Congress, the camp of a former Commissioner for Works in the state, Dr. Bayo Faforiji might dump the party very soon.
Dr. Faforiji’s caml is loyal to a former Deputy Governor of the state, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
Faforoji in a statement he released on Monday suggested that himself, Omisore and his supporters might move away from the PDP any moment from now.
The former factional chairman of the state PDP also announced that the movement working for Omisore to become the next Governor of the state will in no distant time fly a new political movement that would work for him.
The statement shared on a whatsapp platform reads “Finally, the long and tortuous journey in the dark tunnel of the discarded PDP days is over! What a sweet relief!”
“Now is the time for us to hit the ground running. As soon as our next destination is determined and established, everyone must take up the challenge of spreading the gospel of “Omisore for Governor” throughout the nooks and crannies of Osun State.”
