As the sixth edition of the Big Brother Naija reality television show is ongoing and gaining momentum, the spotlight is still on its former housemates who gained fame largely for their participation on the show.
AMILOADED gathered through PUNCH the flashy and lavish lifestyle of some of the former housemates, especially as they flaunt it on their social media pages.
Tacha
Anita Natacha Akide, fondly known as Tacha, was born on December 23, 1995.
She is from Rivers State and prior to contesting in the Season 4 of the Big Brother Naija show, the young lady was popular among a few people — mostly social media users.
However, she shot into the limelight courtesy of the reality television show.
Despite being disqualified during the competition, Tacha built a strong fanbase called Titans.
In a recent television interview, the reality TV show star noted that she cannot date a broke man, stating that her ‘market is expensive.’
She said, “I’m sorry I cannot date a responsible but broke man. Everyone has his or her own spec when it comes to relationship; so, I want them to go for their spec. As for me, my market is expensive.”
Over the weekend, Tacha graced the birthday of ace Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun, fondly called AY.
At the party, Tacha was seen spraying the birthday boy dollars on the dance floor.
Asides from “making it rain” during the weekend, Tacha is also a landlady.
In April, during a live video session with Peter of Psquare on Instagram, the ex BBNaija housemate confirmed that she bought a mansion in Port Harcourt.
Meanwhile, the delectable young lady lives in an expensive luxury apartment in Lekki.
Moreso, she has in her car park a Mercedes-Benz C300, which was reported to have been gifted to her as a birthday gift from her die-hard fans. The car is estimated to cost N9m.
Mercy Eke
Before venturing into the Big Brother Naija house in 2019, Mercy Eke was largely known as a video vixen.
Born on September 29, 1993, she made history with her participation in the fourth season of the reality television show as she emerged as the first female to win the competition.
In October 2019, the Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner, fondly referred to as ‘Lamborghini’, acquired a four-bedroom flat apartment in Lekki, Lagos State.
While announcing on Instagram, she revealed that the house cost her N75m and she paid the money in full.
The reality television show star has in her garage an IVM G40 SUV, which she got as the winner of the show. The automobile is valued at N35m.
Mercy also has other exquisite cars like the 2019 Range Rover Autobiography SUV, and two Mercedes Benz cars — the GLC 300 4MATIC and Mercedes Benz GLK350.
Nengi
Rebecca Nengi Hampson, fondly called Nengi, is the 2nd runner up in the previous edition of the reality television show.
Born on January 1, 1998, the lady is a model and she hails from Bayelsa State.
In 2017, Nengi contested in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant where she emerged one of the top five contestants.
She has also been a winner of two beauty pageants — The Queen of Trust Pageant and the Miss Peace Bayelsa — in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
In March 2021, the reality TV show star announced via her verified Instagram page that she has become a homeowner.
The house, which is located in the upscale part of Lekki, is valued at about N75m.
“2021 just keeps getting better. With consistency, dedication, and hard work, I finally get to tick this off my checklist. Thank you, Lord, for continued blessings. Can’t wait to play table tennis with my friends in my ‘Pengi’ home,” she captioned the photos she shared with her fans.
Also, the delectable model turned actress took to her verified Instagram account in July to announce her acquisition of a brand-new Range Rover Velar which is valued at about N37m.
Ka3na
Although Kate Jones, also known as Ka3na, had a short stay in the BBnaija house during its fifth edition, the 27-year-old definitely made an impact.
Born in 1994, the mother of one is a businesswoman.
In October 2020, the BBNaija ex-housemate wowed her fans on social media after she took to the platform to reveal she had acquired a new home.
She wrote, “Feels much like home now having my Lila @miss.jones.13 with me. Who wants to have a tour of my home??”
The reality television show star also got a house gift from her husband who purchased a house for her in Spain as she turned 27.
Sharing a photo of the house and a birthday shout-out message from her hubby, Mr Jones, she wrote, “Can’t wait till tomorrow. From Mr Jones to Mrs Jones. I no dey use jazz oh, my mama use better soap take baf me wahlai.
“My old wine buys the best gifts. 8Hrs To My Birthday Fam…TikTok #BossLadyAt27” (sic).
Erica
Fondly known as Star Girl — a name she has trademarked — Erica Nlewedim was a participant in the fifth edition of the reality television show.
Even though the actress was disqualified during the competition, she keeps waxing strong.
Upon her disqualification, her fans set-set up a GoFundMe account where they raised over $70,000 for her.
Born on March 13, 1994, she participated in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant where she became the MBGN Miss Photogenic award in 2014.
Her acting career began in 2015 with a lead role in the film ‘Secrets and Scandals’.
To become a better actress, Erica studied Acting for Film at the Met Film School, London, in 2019.
In March 2021, it was reported that the young lady was gifted a house in the highbrow area of Lekki in Lagos by her fans known as Elites.
The house — a fully furnished three-bedroom plus boys’ quarters’ maisonette in Richmond Estate, Lekki, is reportedly valued at N60m.
Also, her fans reportedly bought her stocks from Tesla, Amazon, and other companies worth $10,000.
