It was load of praises for the Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Bimbo Daramola as he bagged the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) Philanthropic Award amid pomp and pageantry.
This award presented to Daramola, a former lawmaker during the 10th Anniversary Lectures and Presentation of Awards of EKSUTH was in appreciation of his benevolent gestures in the health sector of Ekiti state.
Held inside the Auditorium of the State School of Nursing on Friday, April 5, 2018, the event attracted the presence of high profile dignitaries within the state and across Nigeria.
Daramola was said to have procured fully
built a 32 bed hospital and equip it with equipments needed to the teaching hospital which has been contributing tremendously in the healthcare delivery in the state.
Among the dignitaries that identified with the award recipient are the State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose who was the Chief Host and Special Guest; the Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife leading other Obas like Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Ogoga of Ikere, Onire of Ire Ekiti among others.
At the event, Daramola became cynosure of all eyes when all the attendants including officials of the State Government, Guest Lecturers, Traditional rulers and co-award recipients did not end their remarks without showering praises on Daramola and attesting to his numerous contributions and selfless services to human development.
The speakers after speaking glowingly of Daramola prayed for his success at the coming APC primary and general elections saying his emergence as the governor of the state would usher in more developmental projects to Ekiti.
Speaking after receiving the award, Daramola expressed delight at the honour saying he would not relent in his efforts at saving lives and building human capacity.
Daramola, who said the award would a propeller of better selfless services dedicated it to the masses of Ekiti state. This rare act got deafening applause from the audience.
