A frontline Osun State gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engineer Ayoade Afolabi Lawal has congratulated Muslims across the state and Nigeria on the occasion of Eid- Fitr.
A statement from him today in Osogbo described the celebration as one of the pillars of Islam rooted in piety and chastity, abstinence and sacrifice.
Engineer Lawal urged Muslims to use the occasion to extend love and charity to one another in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He also urged them to continue to uphold peace, which is the real essence of Islam, and tolerance in their communities.
Engineer Lawal extended his season greetings to traditional rulers in the state and wishes them a happy celebration.
He also congratulated Governor Rauf Aregbesola and the members of his cabinet on the occasion of this year’s Eid and prayed for unity and justice, peace and progress in the the state and in Nigeria.
